Are you afraid of ordering wine when out with friends or family. This is not an uncommon fear. Some worry that the waiter will show you up and recommend a bottle that is far out of your price range. If so he is clearly a douche. Rest easy friends, we are the solution to all of you Wine problems.
Here is how you should handle the SHOW UP.
Someone makes the mistake of asking the waiter what you should order. He/she high balls you right away with a smirk as to say to your date … you are a cheap bastard if you don’t take my suggestion.
Tip 1 - Have a predetermined affordable back up ready in the chamber.
Tip 2 – Politely wait until he finished pushing his spin.
Tip 3 - Look at your date and state that you have tried that bottle and that it was picked far, far too early should have been left on the vine.
Tip 4 - Order the bottle of your liking with extreme confidence.
Tip 5 - Spend the money you just saved on after dinner drinks at a local bar with your date.
Tip 6 - If the said waiter/waitress gives you any guff over your wine pick, finish your dinner, and then excuse yourself. Find the person and let them know that the tip they are missing out on is because of their rudeness over the wine selection. If they argue you may wish to turn to violence.
