I am often attracted to things that are different. I recently stopped at a wine store on the ride home from work. We were planning on hitting up a local BYOB and I wasn’t about to head out without a bottle or two. I think you can tell a lot by the uniqueness of a wine bottle and I have friends who choose their bottles exclusively based on the coolness of the wine label.

I noticed Plungerhead right away. It had a red top with a spiral pull and peel leading up to the top of the bottle. The label is a unique image of an old timey character with a plunger on his head. I grabbed the bottle of the 2008 Lodi Zinfandel and another bottle to be named later.

I wasn’t sure if this was a screw top or a cork until it was opened, and it was almost like a secret surprise. Our waiter grabbed it to open it and his first words were oh, cool. He asked me if I wanted to open it and I said, be my guest. He pulled the peel away plastic and then we discovered that it was not a traditional cork or a screw cap. It was rubber stopper top, similar to those on liquor bottles.

Disclaimer: We know that wine snobs discriminate against screw tops but at Cheap Wine Bottles we are not racist towards screw tops or boxed wines. We welcome all wines equally and fairly.

ZORK is, easy to remove by hand, simple to reseal and is completely recyclable. To open ZORK, pull the tear tab, unwind and remove it. As you pull out the ZORK, you’ll hear it pop.
